Travel & Activities
Between Sets
Make a weekend of it! The Stanley and Redfish Lake area is an outdoor paradise, with hiking, mountain biking, river rafting, horseback riding, paddling and swimming at Redfish Lake, and some of the darkest, starriest night skies around.
Know Before You Go
Mountain weather keeps you on your toes. Summer highs average in the high 70s, but nights can drop to around 40 degrees, so pack layers and a warm jacket. Cell service in the area can be spotty, so download maps and save your reservation details before you arrive.
Getting There
Stanley is remote, and getting there is part of the adventure. The closest airports are Friedman Memorial Airport in Hailey (near Sun Valley), about a 1.5-hour drive, and Boise Airport, about a 3-hour drive. Salt Lake City is a 5.5-hour drive. Either way, you’ll need a car, and the views on the way in are worth every mile.
